New Restoration Project – The Last Hemi!

admin Around the Shop, Project 1198

Yep. We just picked up this 1971 Hemi Charger – also known as ‘The Last Hemi’.  This car was part of the Wellborn Musclecar Museum Collection that just sold in January at the Mecum Auction in Kissimmee. We are very excited to be part of restoring a true piece of American muscle car history.

Some details about this Charger:

  • Has a letter direct from Chrysler documenting it as the last Hemi Charger to leave the factory
  • Prove It research did a complete report confirming the “Last Hemi” status
  • It was sold new at Mabe-Cartwright Motors in Welch, WV
  • It has the original broadcast sheet and window sticker

Stay tuned for more updates as we get this project underway!
